Mirror With Built-In Monitor and TV

Category: News

VisionMirrorVisionMirror is quite literally a TV built into a mirror. When the TV is switched off, all you can see is your reflection. When you press the ‘on button’, a crystal-clear TV scrren bursts into life.

You can view your favourite TV programmes or your computer display while studying your own reflection.

Mr Andrew Moss who spent 2 years developing VisionMirror said that when the TV is activated a section of the mirror is transformed into a screen. In the next release, he hopes to activate the screen by just touching the mirror.

The response to this innovative product has been very good so far - many of them are sold in US and Europe. Even a prince in Saudi Arabia has bought 9 VisionMirrors to decorate his palaces.

VisionMirrorVisionMirror is waterproof (so you don’t have to miss your favourite ’soap’ in the bath) and the mirror can be adjusted to be viewed at different angles. It can also be used as a computer monitor or custom-made to to accept the input signals of your choice - Video/DVD/PVR.

When the TV is switched off, thieves will have no idea it is there. Whoever heard of a robber running away with a mirror!

There are also a variety of possible applications for business and commercial uses:

1. In beauty parlourscustomer can sit in front of the mirror and watching their favourite TV show or commercials for hair care and beauty products.

2. Commercials can also be displayed in toilets or lifts where people would inevitably look into the mirrors.

3. Kids can also watch cartoons while brushing their teeth.

Most of the applications listed are a little ridiculous, why havent we put tvs in lifts and bathrooms already? Plenty of flatscreens available that would do the job and cheaper Id say. Just because its behind a mirror doesnt make any difference really, just the stealth aspect.

This is dumb. It might be cool if when you switched on the tv, the entire mirror was the screen. So, if company was coming over, a person could easily hide their tv. Also, the tv wouldnt take up extra room in the house.
