From a design perspective, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T2 is a breath of fresh air, integrating 4GB of memory in the camera, replacing awkward buttons with a sensuous touch screen, and wrapping the whole package in an elegantly sculpted aluminum frame the size of a small pack of cards.
Automatically organizing your image collection by date and frequency within the date, it also provides a unique playback mode inspired by scrapbook design. And it’s no slouch when it comes to performance, obliterating prefocus shutter lag, and significantly reducing full-autofocus shutter lag.

The Sony Cyber-shot W200 is definitely worth a closer look if you want a capable digital camera that’s also small and pocket-friendly.
With a 12.1-megapixel CCD, the Sony W200 captures great detail and resolution, with very good detail definition in most cases. The Sony W200 offers full auto and full manual exposure modes, plus a range of preset scene modes that are actually quite useful. More experienced users will appreciate the range of adjustable image attributes such as white balance, ISO, contrast, sharpness, and color modes, while novices will benefit from the Sony W200’s point-and-shoot style auto modes. Despite slight oversaturation in red tones, overall color is quite good. The Sony W200 is responsive under most normal conditions, and its Burst mode is fast enough for normal action shots.

As a quality digital camera for the everyday shooter, however, the Sony H3 offers a lot.
A 10x zoom in a small package is always welcome; and it comes with the image stabilization it needs to get the long shots. Face detection and lots of ISO headroom mean you’ll be able to take better photos of friends and family with and without flash in more places. Though there are a few foibles that might not make the Sony H3 for you in particular (see the Pro/Con list above), we still see the Sony Cyber-shot DSC H3 as a great camera.

Having produced what is arguably the best entry-level DSLR on the market in the A100, Sony has followed it up with another outstanding camera.
The Sony Alpha DSLR-A700 is a superb tool for the enthusiast or semi-professional photographer, providing high quality results in almost any conditions. The combination of rugged durability, fast performance, a class-leading AF system, on-board image stabilisation and great handling will prove hard to beat.

While the Alpha 100 was Sony’s first dSLR camera and the result of its acquisition of Konica Minolta’s camera division, the DSLR-A700 is much more stamped as a Sony camera, and probably indicates the company’s intention to anchor itself solidly in the dSLR market segment. Still, although Sony products tend to command a premium, the A700’s price point places it in direct competition with very well established dSLR systems and lacks the Live View function adopted by most others, things that could hinder its success.
