The first thing we noticed about the FinePix F450’s design was its square body. It fits easily in a pocket, and at a mere 5.8 ounces, the F450 is comfortable to hold with only one hand. Still, because it’s narrower and a bit taller than some of its candy bar-shape competitors, the camera’s square design may frustrate those who prefer two-handed shooting. All of the F450’s top and rear controls are within range of your right thumb, giving you a clear view of the camera’s 2-inch LCD screen. This LCD presented a far more practical solution for composing shots than the tiny optical viewfinder that’s also included.

Fujifilm FinePix F450 Review - PC Magazine
Shaped like a Klondike bar, the Fujifilm FinePix F450 is on the smaller end of the ultracompact scale—somewhere between the Konica Minolta DiMage X50 and the extra-tiny Canon PowerShot SD20 Digital Elph. The F450’s metal body has a sleek yet industrial appearance, and it feels nearly indestructible. But it has some limitations that may turn off more savvy shutterbugs—or even novices who want that perfect shot on their vacation. And alas, the camera’s speed and image quality aren’t as good as those of many other ultracompacts we’ve reviewed.
Fujifilm FinePix F450 Review - PhotographyBLOG
The Fujifilm FinePix F450 is the top of the range square-styled digital camera in the Fujifilm range. The Finepix F450 replaces the 3 megapixel Finepix F420 that I reviewed in August 2004. The F450 adds a number of extra features, the most obvious being a new larger 5.2 megapixel sensor. In addition, the F450 is even smaller and lighter than its predecessor, yet can still squeeze in a bigger 2 inch LCD screen. Fujifilm have also extended the range of the optical zoom lens on the F450 to 3.4x, equivalent to 38 - 130mm on a 35mm camera, and added a low sensitivity setting of ISO 80.
Fujifilm FinePix F450 Review - Cameras.co.uk
The Fuji Finepix F450 is a five megapixel digital camera with a 3x optical zoom lens. It is relatively small and slim and is the right size to slip into a pocket. Its strength is the outdoor shots that it takes and you will find it copes well with various social photography opportunities (family album shots, social gatherings and holiday pictures etc.).
It has a fairly standard set of features and is easy to use. Therefore the Finepix F450 is most likely to appeal to someone looking for a digital camera that is straightforward, can be taken anywhere and has a touch of style as well.
