Ricoh Caplio R1V Review - Pocket-lint

Feb 28, 2005 | Category: Ricoh Caplio R1V

Ricoh Caplio R1VOn the face of it, the R1v provides plenty of resolution, enough for prints up to and over A3 and at a very competitive price indeed. There’s control enough to satisfy the enthusiast snapper and point and shoot brigade alike and all put together in one attractive package with a great lens.

In fact, I was raving about this camera until I got to inspect the images closely, then I was just raving mad. The camera is heavily let down by odd image artifacts; stripes running across each frame. This is a real shame for a camera that would otherwise be a stunning bit of kit. If it wasn’t for the image quality this would have been an 8/10.

Casio’s Exilim Card range of digital cameras has long been known for delivering incredibly small and slim models that are little bigger than a credit card. The Casio Exilim Card EX-S100 is no different with dimensions of 88mm (W) x 57mm (H) x 16.7mm (D) and weighing just 113g without the battery and storage card fitted. All of this is housed in a stylish and hard-wearing metal casing.

Nikon Coolpix 4800 Review - Cameras.co.uk

Feb 28, 2005 | Category: Nikon Coolpix 4800

Nikon Coolpix 4800The Nikon Coolpix 4800 is a four megapixel digital camera with a 8.3x optical zoom lens. With its extended zoom lens this model is likely to appeal to someone who is looking for more than a standard point and shoot digital camera.

There are a number of preprogrammed scene modes to help you take the best possible picture in differing photographic conditions, but the Coolpix 4800 lacks the manual controls that are a must to any serious photographer.

It is fairly straightforward and you don’t need to be a camera expert to be able to use it and take good pictures.
